In 2000 the Kromski began a new facet of their business - exporting their products to the rest of the world. In 2002 the Kromski's have added an innovative line of rigid heddle weaving looms. These new Kromski weaving looms are easy to use and easy to take along!

The "Harp" Kromski Rigid Heddle Loom Kromski Harp Loom

The Kromski weaving loom, a rigid heddle loom, offers several innovative features. The Kromski Harp loom has a warping board built-in, turn over the weaving loom and you can make your warp (five yards plus). When you get ready to travel, take your Kromski rigid heddle loom with you; it folds to be more compact (with the warp attached) and fits neatly into the Kromski tote bag (optional). Harp Floor Stand

For those weavers that do not want to hold their Harp in the traditional manner (back end propped against a table edge) the Kromski rigid heddle looms now have a beautiful floor stand. All the pieces have been turned so there is shape and contours to everything, making for a striking piece of woodworking. And note some of the features: your warping pegs (these come with the loom) can be used as ledges on either side of the loom to hold shuttles, hold yarn or to keep other supplies handy. The remaining peg can be conveniently stored at the back of the loom. Use the stand for weaving, yes, but also for warping, and for storage (your Kromski rigid heddle loom can be folded on the stand so it takes up less space). We are sure weavers will find even more ingenious ways to use the Kromski Harp floor stand.

Harp Tote Bags

Because the Kromski Rigid Heddle Loom conveniently folds, why not put it in a tote bag for easy storage or travel? The Kromski tote bags are made of poly-canvas and feature canvas handles and a shoulder strap. The base of the Kromski tote is re-enforced to provide sturdy support of the loom. There is plenty of room for stick shuttles, pick-up sticks, warping equipment, clamps and your weaving material. Kromski rigid heddle looms make weaving soooo portable!

The Kromski Fiddle

If you are looking for a basic rigid heddle loom, the Kromski Fiddle will fit the bill. Great for your first try at weaving, for kids and more.

The Fiddle, at 16" weaving width, will do everything the Kromski Harp rigid heddle loom will do in terms of weaving, it is just a simpler built, unfinished version. Weave to your hearts content. The Kromski Fiddle rigid heddle loom is packaged with a 10-dent heddle, 2 stick shuttles, clamps, a modified Warp Helper, warping peg and a threading hook. You can also add the following options to your Fiddle: additional shuttles, pick-up sticks, heddle blocks (to allow the use of 2 heddles) and The Harp stand (above). The Kromski Fiddle loom also comes ready for use as a warping board (pre-drilled holes on the back of the frame) - you can purchase the pegs for this purpose or make your own.

The Kromski Fiddle rigid heddle loom comes unfinished and partially assembled. You may finish the wood but it is not necessary. Assembly is easy (instructions included) and takes about 30 minutes.

Your Kromski loom comes with an 10 dent rigid heddle reed. Other rigid heddle reeds are available below. For Schacht reeds please check the Schacht page. All Kromski reeds will fit also Ashford rigid heddle looms and the other way around. They just look differently.
